REXPERIENCE presents XPR, an immersive art experience that dives into the raw beauty of transformation, emotion, and self-discovery.
Featuring two original digital art shows — Escape² and Annihilation — XPR merges technology and performance into a powerful sensory journey. In select sessions, a live dancer wearing a motion-capture suit performs in real time, with every movement transformed into digital art projected around the space — blurring the line between human expression and immersive technology.
ESCAPE²
by Colas Fiszman, Laurent Delforge, and REXPERIENCE
“Escape²” is an immersive audiovisual piece by Colas Fiszman (Tyrell Studio) and Laurent Delforge (NONE Studio) in collaboration with RXP. It explores our relationship with technology and self-image in modern society through innovative dance, electronic music, and generative video. Utilising advanced tools like TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine, the performance synchronises dancers’ movements with dynamic projections for a multisensory experience.
This artwork delves into technological advancements and virtual environments, highlighting their impact on daily life and encouraging the audience to reflect on personal identity and modern culture.
ANNIHILATION
by Colas Fiszman & Jonas Margraf
Experience an enthralling dance performance within a dystopian realm as Annihilation seamlessly blends dance, video, lasers, and electronic music to explore the intricate connections between humanity, technological advancement, and nature.
The dancer’s captivating movements are projected in real-time using cutting-edge motion capture technology. Meanwhile, intricate 3D laser scans from Belgian and Malaysian places compose mesmerising digital landscapes. Enhanced by Jonas Margraf’s 360 spatial soundtrack for a multidimensional auditory adventure, this amalgamation of human expressions and vibrant visuals weaves a digital art narrative, illuminating the dire repercussions of technology’s ceaseless advancement.
